Are you a Friend of the Library??
The Friends of the Library is the local branch of a national membership organization open to all, and dedicated to a mission of raising money to supplement the library's budget for items such as new books, DVDs, videos, recorded books and more.
On the third Wednesday of the month, from September through May (excluding December), we prepare a luncheon and present a program with a speaker to which we invite the public. Every year in September and May, we hold our largest events; the annual Fall Fashion Show, and the Memorial Day weekend Plant, Bake, and Treasure Sale.
Through ticket sales, donations, silent auctions and merchandise purchases, funds raised through these events have enabled The Friends to proudly present a substantial check to library each year, which the library uses to augment its collection.
